Cholla frame
Brian and I went on a hike to area we named cholla forest but is really the Second water trail.
We were able to find some good dead pieces of cholla to take for my project.
I again went to Janna’s to construct a new frame with the cholla wood. We started by cutting it in half so the round pieces can fit around a frame.
I
attempted to stain and polyurethane pieces to take away the dull grey. Polyurethane world best!
We had to construct our own custom frame for the cholla to fit around. I painted it black so it was less noticeable.
I sanded, stained and ties the cholla to the frame. I had a little trouble meeting the corners, but a rustic
look was what I was going for.
This beautiful cactus flower seemed a good fit for the rustic frame. I paired it with a pink frame to enhance the color of the flower.
